I’m a passionate, multi-disciplinary creative leader with over two decades’ experience. I’ve worked with a wide range of brands, helping solve complicated business and communication problems. Long ago I learned that great ideas underpinned by a great strategy, leads to differentiated, unique brand communications.
Who am I?
I’m a well-rounded, visually driven creative—conceptually strong, with a deep knowledge of my craft. I’m also a bit of a geek, with a slight font fetish, and a passion for the classics. I love tech, photography, video editing, hanging out with my family and spinning tunes on my decks to unwind. Originally from the UK, I’m well-travelled and have lived in Australia for nearly ten years.
Where have I been?
I started my journey back in 1998, as a print and branding designer. The agency was small, but this allowed me to get hands-on, and I took the opportunity to quickly develop a strong foundation in commercial design. I loved the diversity of the work and clients, and I got a solid start to my career.
Moving to London I partnered with some big brands, including AON, E&Y, PWC, and Accenture, as well as working on London boat shows. Building on my creative experience, I stretched myself and developed new skills in areas such as event design, video editing and motion graphics.
In 2011 I decided to take a year out and see the world, which was a fantastic way to explore new cultures and, of course, different approaches to design. Eventually I found myself in Australia and at Designlogic.
What do I do now?
Today you can find me leading the creative output at Designlogic. I lead senior designers and video editors and work closely with my creative director and copywriter to deliver successful campaigns across a variety of platforms and channels. As a Senior Art Director/Group Head I balance the strategic—thought leadership, ideation, concepting and building client relationships—with hands-on creativity: crafting and delivering work for print, digital, motion, events, social and presentations.
What I love most about this role is nurturing and inspiring my team to become better thinkers and creatives—giving them a springboard to produce work that means something to them and is effective for our clients. It’s rewarding and the reason I started this journey.
Clients I’ve worked with:
Accenture—PWC—Avanade—E&Y—AON—JLL—Philips—Shark—London Boat Shows—FJORD—Lockhead Martin—FerriCarrig—ActiveCast—CIX—Bircham Dyson Bell—Grosvenor—Ninja—and many more.
What are my strengths?
With over seven years’ experience as an Art Director I’m well-versed in business marketing, communications and strategy, and excel in translating business needs into meaningful marketing objectives and goals—helping account management and creative teams deliver outstanding work.
Solutions-focused and organised, with excellent communication and leadership skills, I bring a multidisciplined approach, so I can see the big picture, wear many hats, and deliver innovative solutions, no matter the medium.
I’m confident pitching and presenting to clients and can work directly with them to get the best outcomes.
As well as having a HND and degree in graphic design and communication, I’m also a master of Adobe Creative Cloud.
What can I do for you?
I work across a broad range of design disciplines and can offer creative solutions to meet any needs. Most importantly, I like meeting new folk and delivering cool, effective outcomes.
If you need help bringing a marketing or advertising campaign to life, revitalising your brand, developing a brochure, or creating a website, video, or social campaign, then drop me a line. I’m here to help.
